Action Inc. and Millennium Training Institute's Employment and Training Center, located at 186 Main Street in downtown Gloucester recently held a celebration for graduates of its Office Specialist Training Program. The program, which focuses on individuals who have lost their jobs due to downsizing of the fishing industry, helps people update their computer and interpersonal skills for today's employment marketplace.

The program is unique in that it combines the computer expertise of Millennium Training Institute and the human services expertise of Action, Inc. Students study Microsoft Office desktop software applications including MS Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook and learn business skills including development of interpersonal skills, writing skills, managing tasks, appointment scheduling and searching the internet.
