Action is proud to announce the winners of the third annual scholarship program sponsored by Action Employment and Training and the Department of Housing and Community Development. This year there were 10 scholarship recipients who shared at total of $9,000.00. The recipients are residents of the five cities and towns served by Action: Gloucester, Rockport, Manchester, Essex and Ipswich.
Based on academic achievement, acceptance at a Massachusetts institution of higher learning, community service and demonstrated financial need, the following awards were made:
Gloucester High School: Teresa LoContro, Nicolas Parco, Samantha Todd, Gloucester residents
Manchester/Essex High School: Samantha Ball, Essex resident, Karl Osborn, Essex Resident, David Peck, Rockport resident, Anna Freedenfeld, Manchester resident, Meghan Somers, Gloucester resident
Rockport High School: Kylah Greige, Rockport resident
Ipswich High School: Paskalia Papa
