Action Emergency Homeless Shelter
Action shelter hours of operation are 5 p.m. to 8 a.m., seven days per week, 365 days per year.
The Action shelter is located at 370 Main Street, Gloucester, MA 01930 tel. 978/283.4125
For over
fifteen years Action has operated a twenty-bed emergency shelter for homeless men and women 18 years and older. Services include shelter, meals and support services.

As this is an emergency shelter prospective guests are requested to arrive at 370 Main Street at 5 p.m. to be assured of a bed.
Highlights:
- bed and a hot meal on a nightly basis;
breakfast and bag lunch prior to leaving the
shelter
- on-site mental health and subtance abuse counseling
- medical referrals
- housing advocacy and search
- job counseling and referrals
- employment and training assistance
- benefits and medical insurance counseling
- advocacy, income maintenance and crisis counseling
